Glickenhaus’ Olivier Pla has set the fastest time in the second and final session at the 24 Hours of Le Mans Test Day.

The Frenchman shot to the top of the time sheets with a late flyer aboard #708 Glickenhaus 007 LMH by posting a 03:29:115, the quickest time of the day.

Pla’s afternoon time was significantly quicker than Brendon Hartley’s fastest time in the morning session, which was 03:31:263. Times in the five-hour afternoon session were generally quicker, with only the quickest time in GTE Pro marginally slower than the time set during the morning session.

Mike Conway was second fastest in the #7 Toyota GR010 Hybrid, with team-mate Kazuki Nakajima third ahead of the #36 Alpine A480-Gibson driven by Nicolas Lapierre

The session saw no red flags, although the full course yellow was brought out a total of three times. First, Roberto Lacorte stopped the #47 Cetilar Racing Ferrari 488 GTE Evo, which was followed by a spin into the gravel for Scott Andrews in the #57 Kessel Racing Ferrari 488 GTE Evo.

A third and final caution was thrown when Gianmaria Bruni spun the #91 Porsche 911 RSR-19 at the Porsche Curves.

LMP2, meanwhile, was led by the #48 IDEC Sport ORECA 07-Gibson of Paul-Loup Chatin. Chatin’s best time of 03:31:105 was 0.015s faster than Will Stevens in the #65 Panis Racing ORECA in second place, with Louis Deletraz third in the #41 Team WRT ORECA.

The top five in the secondary prototype class was completed by two cars from United Autosports, with the #23 ORECA of Paul di Resta fourth ahead of team-mate Filipe Albuquerque in fifth place.

GTE Pro was topped by the #79 WeatherTech Racing Porsche 911 RSR-19, driven by two-time overall winner Earl Bamber. The New Zealander posted a 03:52:938, which was 0.112s faster than the factory-entered #91 Porsche driven by Richard Lietz.

James Calado was third in the #51 AF Corse Ferrari 488 GTE Evo, with team-mate Miguel Molina just 0.011s further back in fourth place. Neel Jani rounded out the top five in the #92 Porsche 911 RSR-19.

The #63 Corvette got limited running during the afternoon, as the team changed the engine and gearbox after encountering an electrical issue.

Finally, the GTE Am leaderboards were topped by Harry Tincknell in the #99 Proton Competition Porsche 911 RSR-19. Tincknell’s best time, a 03:54:572, was the fastest time of the day in the class and 0.030s clear of the #56 Team Project 1 Porsche 911 RSR-19.
