Chase Briscoe’s crew chief, John Klausmeier, will miss Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Klausmeier was issued a one-race suspension after the #14 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford had two lug nuts loose or missing in post-race inspection at Road America on July 4. He also was served a $20,000 fine.

Mike Cook will fill-in as Beiscoe’s crew chief for the Atlanta race.

Briscoe has two top-10 finishes in the first 20 races of the 2021 Cup Series season and is 23rd in the driver points standings. He finished 23rd at Atlanta earlier this season.
