Motorsport Monday: Issue 423 FREE to read now

The World Rally Championship rumbled on this week, as Hyundai looked to right the heartbreaks of recent weeks. But as it found out, the rally gods weren’t quite finished delivering bad luck – Nick Turner has your report from the Safari Rally Kenya.

In Formula 1, the first of two Red Bull Ring races took place, as Max Verstappen continued to build on his championship lead with a dominating drive in Austria, as Phillip Horton describes for you. On the support roster, W Series returned, following the cancelation of the 2020 season due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

MotoGP was back in Assen before settling down for the summer break, and Fabio Quartararo showed up looking to further extend his lead at the head of the Riders’ standings – Kyle Francis has penned the weekend report for you.

Stateside, NASCAR’s circus rolled onto a double-header event at Pocono, as Amanda Vincent recounts. Davey Euwema brings you all the action from the 6 Hours of the Glen in the IMSA SportsCar Championship.

On the features side of operations, Fergal Walsh voices his opinion why F1 drivers should have more opportunities to race elsewhere, agony aunt Claire Millins is back with her ‘Ask Carla’ column, and technical guru Rosario Giuliana inspects the latest upgrades of Red Bull and AlphaTauri.
