The 2021 Twelve Hours of Sebring is under an early yellow, caused by an incident between Jimmie Johnson and Loic Duval.

Johnson lost control of his #48 Ally Cadillac DPi-VR at Sunset Bend and tagged the #5 Mustang Sampling Cadillac of Louc Duval, damaging both cars and causing a yellow.

Renger van der Zande meanwhile leads the race in the #01 Chip Ganassi Cadillac, having slipped by the polesitting #31 Whelen Engineering Cadillac of Pipo Derani in traffic early on.

Ricky Taylor sits in third in the #10 Wayne Taylor Racing Acura ARX-05, with Olivier Pla in fourth for Meyer Shank Racing.

Steven Thomas leads LMP2 for WIN Autosport, ahead of Era Motorsport’s Dwight Merriman and John Farano for Tower Motorsport.

Ben Keating, who had qualified second in the #52 PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports ORECA, had to serve a pre-race penalty, as did the #7 Forty7 Motorsports Duqueine and notably, the #4 Corvette C8.R in the hands of Tommy Milner.

Milner had already dropped to fourth in GTLM after a poor start, with team-mate Antonio Garcia in the #3 Corvette behind both BMWs.

Penalties also impacted the leader in GTD, as Jan Heylen’s #19 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R was handed a drivethrough penalty for moving across at the start.

Vasser Sullivan now leads GTD, courtesy of the #14 Vasser Sullivan Lexus RC F GT3 driven by Aaron Telitz.
