Sliders: Compare the AlphaTauri AT01 and AT02

AlphaTauri is the second Formula 1 team to unveil its 2021 car, the AT02, which will be driven by Frenchman Pierre Gasly and Japanese rookie Yuki Tsunoda.

Compare the 2021 car against the 2020 car with our sliders by simply dragging the slider bar across the image.

Although the side view shows how the livery has changed, it doesn’t reveal many other changes on the AT02.

The front view shows a quite significant change to the bargeboards and vanes on the sidepods, which have undergone some development to try and recover the lost downforce.

The top view gives a good look at what is the biggest change on the 2021 cars – the new floor which is cut diagonally, and like on the McLaren, is likely a launch ‘spec’ with further development likely.

Finally the rear of the car: The biggest change here is to the diffuser, which features shorter vanes as required by the regulations – another move by the FIA to cut downforce on the new cars.
