David Ragan, who retired from full-time competition as a NASCAR Cup Series driver at the end of the 2019 season, will contest the 2021 Daytona 500 on Feb. 14 as driver of the #36 Front Row Motorsports Ford.

Ragan also drove the #36 Ford in the 2020 Daytona 500, his only Cup Series race of the season, and finished fourth. Derrick Finley, his crew chief for last year’s race, will be his crew chief, again, for the 2021 edition of the Cup Series season-opener.

One of Ragan’s two-career Cup Series wins came at Daytona International Speedway in July 2011, while Ragan was pilot of the #6 Roush Fenway Racing Ford. His other win came with FRM in 2013 at Talladega Superspeedway.

Ragan was a full-time Cup Series driver between 2007 and 2017. After leaving Roush Fenway, he drove for Front Row from 2012 through 2014 and from 2017 through 2019. He also drove for teams including Michael Waltrip Racing and BK Racing.
