Bill Auberlen has been ruled out of Turner Motorsports’ GT Daytona line-up for this weekend’s Twelve Hours of Sebring.
The BMW veteran had been scheduled to drive the #96 BMW M6 GT3 alongside Robby Foley and Dillon Machavern, but has been removed from the latest entry list for the twelve-hour enduro.
The reason for Auberlen’s absence is currently unclear, while his replacement also remains unconfirmed at this time. Auberlen was also supposed to compete in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge for Turner Motorsports. For that race, Turner has already chosen to replace him with Cameron Lawrence.
The #96 Turner Motorsports BMW M6 GT3 is in title contention heading into the final round of the season, with Foley and Auberlen trailing points leaders Mario Farnbacher and Matt McMurry by 20 points.
