Tommy Milner has set the quickest time in the final practice session ahead of today’s Motul 100% Synthetic Grand Prix at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Milner put down a 01:14:935 in the #4 Corvette C8.R in the closing stages of the session to go quickest, just under two-tenths faster than the #911 Porsche 911 RSR-19 of Frederic Makowiecki in second place.
Most drivers set their quickest time in the closing stages of the session after it was resumed following a red flag caused by the #22 Gradient Racing Acura NSX GT3 Evo, which stopped on track with a loose wheel.
Jesse Krohn was third fastest in the #24 BMW M8 GTE after topping the Friday session, just 0.004s ahead of the #3 Corvette C8.R of Jordan Taylor.
Laurens Vanthoor was fifth in the #912 Porsche 911 RSR-19, with Bruno Spengler’s #25 BMW M8 GTE bringing up the rear in class.
Bill Auberlen topped practice in GTD in the #96 Turner Motorsports BMW M6 GT3 by setting a 01:19:475, half a second clear of the #74 Riley Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT3 of Lawson Aschenbach.
Auberlen and Aschenbach were followed by the two AIM Vasser Sullivan Lexus RC F GT3s of Jack Hawksworth and Townsend Bell, with Andy Lally completing the top five in the #44 GRT Magnus Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo.
