Jenzer Motorsport has announced that Federico Malvestiti will complete its all-rookie line-up for the 2020 FIA Formula 3 Championship.

The 19-year-old will link up with the already announced duo of Calan Williams and Matteo Nannini for the new season.

Malvestiti made his F3 debut at the Silverstone round of the championship in 2019 with Jenzer, but competed in Italian Formula 4 for the 2017 and 2018 seasons.

The young Italian was also a podium finisher during his 2019 Formula Renault Eurocup campaign, eventually finishing 14th in the championship for Bhaitech.

“I’m very happy to compete in FIA F3 this season with Jenzer Motorsport,” said Malvestiti. “We already worked together for two years in F4 and we achieved a lot of good memories and results.

“I’m looking forward to start the new season, and to work with these guys in a so high competition as Formula 3.”

Team Principal Andreas Jenzer added: “We welcome Federico! It is very motivating for all of us that he is back with his ‘old team!’

“With three rookies, it won’t be easy to shine with top results straightaway. However, we will all work hard and are sure to deliver good results soon.”
