Pirelli's 2021 tyre test came to its conclusion on Monday in Abu Dhabi, with George Russell completing over 200 laps of running behind the wheel of a modified Mercedes W10.

Formula 1 will switch to 18-inch wheels over the current 13-inch wheels in 2021 and in order to gather some much needed data for development purposes, Pirelli has been carrying out a number of tests this season with 'mule' cars, modified to run the larger wheels.

Mercedes' junior Russell was behind the wheel of the W10 for two days of testing at the Yas Marina circuit where he completed 100 laps on Sunday and 118 on Monday.

Renault and McLaren have also been involved in the tests with Sergey Sirotkin taking part for Renault at France's Paul Ricard circuit in September.

McLaren's Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris were the first active drivers to test the tyres, with each getting a days running at Paul Ricard in November.

Pirelli will continue testing in 2020, with the regulations allowing 25 test days in which all 10 teams will be involved.
