Formula Regional European Champion Frederik Vesti will replace the injured Jehan Daruvala at Prema for next month’s Macau Grand Prix.
Prema initially announced that its 2019 Formula 3 line-up of Robert Shwartzman, Marcus Armstrong and Daruvala would form its trio for the prestigious street event.
But Daruvala sustained a knee injury while training and the subsequent surgery and recovery period means he will not be able to participate at Macau.
Instead, Prema has recruited 17-year-old Danish racer Vesti in his place.
Vesti competed for Prema in his title-winning Formula Regional European season, taking 13 victories from 24 starts in the division.
He has prior experience of the Macau Grand Prix having competed for Van Amersfoort Racing in the 2018 edition.
Prema swept up in the 2019 FIA Formula 3 Championship, with Shwartzman, Armstrong and Daruvala locking out the top three positions in the standings.
