Kazuki Nakajima has set the fastest time in the second Friday practice session ahead of this weekend's 6 Hours of Fuji.

The #8 Toyota TS050 Hybrid was considerably fastest than its rivals, setting a time of 01:25:623 in what might have been a qualifying simulation run to put the reigning world champion nearly 1,5 seconds clear. This time was 1,7 seconds faster than the session-topping time Sebastien Buemi set in the first practice session this morning.

Much like first practice, Rebellion's Norman Nato was closest to the #8 Toyota, with the #1 Rebellion R13-Gibson's 01:27:042 putting him half a second up on the #5 Team LNT Ginetta G60-LT-P1 of Egor Orudzhev. The #6 Ginetta of Charlie Robertson was fourth, while Silverstone winner Mike Conway brought up the rear in the #7 Toyota.

In LMP2, JOTA Sport found their way to the top of the timing sheets as Anthony Davidson set a 01:29:633 in the #38 ORECA 07-Gibson. Kenta Yamashita, who topped FP1, was second in the #33 High Class Racing ORECA, roughly half a second behind Davidson. Phil Hanson was third in the United Autosports ORECA.

Porsche once again topped GTE Pro with a narrow margin. Michael Christensen's time of 01:38:214 was enough to put the #92 Porsche 911 RSR-19 on top. Newly minted Formula E star James Calado was second in the #51 AF Corse Ferrari, just 0.038s behind Christensen.

Richard Lietz was third in the #91 Porsche, while the top five was rounded out by the two Aston Martins, the #97 ahead of the #95.

TF Sport once again proved quickest in GTE Am, further underlining the #90 Aston Martin Vantage AMR's strong pace as Charlie Eastwood set a 01:38:719, which was quicker than two of the slowest GTE Pro cars.
