Sergio Jimenez secured the inaugural Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY Pro Drivers' Championship, winning the penultimate round of the season in New York City.

Heading into the final weekend of the 2018/19 season, Jimenez held a six point advantage over Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing's Bryan Sellers, extending this lead in qualifying by securing pole position.

With Jimenez on pole, Caca Bueno joined his Jaguar Brazil Racing team-mate on the front row of the grid while a crash for Sellers in qualifying meant that the American racer could not contest the penultimate race of the season.

Securing a strong start from pole, Jimenez maintained his lead from Bueno, holding an advantage over the five-time Stock Car Brasil champion over the course of the 25-minute + 1 lap affair.

With 11-minutes of racing remaining, a crash for VIP driver Mark Hacking in Turn 10 resulted in the deployment of the safety car, with this leading to the final stages of the race being completed under yellow flag conditions.

The safety car peeled into the pits in the final stages of the race, leaving a one-lap sprint to the chequered flag. Securing a strong getaway, Jimenez got the jump on Bueno, taking the chequered flag to secure his second win of the season and seal the inaugural Pro Drivers' Championship.

Bueno followed Jimenez over the line to take second place while Team Asia New Zealand's Simon Evans stood on the final step of the podium.

Katherine Legge finished in fourth place in the sole starting RLL entry while Bandar Alesayi sealed the Pro-Am Drivers' Championship by taking his fifth win of the season and fifth place overall in the race.

Team China Racing's Yaqi Zhang finished second in Pro-Am while Ahmed Bin-Khanen was third, finishing in seventh overall.

After missing qualifying in New York and starting from last place, Celia Martin impressed in the Big Apple, rising from 11th on the grid to eighth at the flag, overtaking both Ziyi Zhang and Hacking out on track.

Ziyi Zhang was the final classified finisher while Hacking retired as a result of his mid-race crash.
