TWR Techeetah will not contest the final rounds of the inaugural season of the Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY Motorsport Week has learned.
Joining the ABB FIA Formula E Championship as the series' official support category, the Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY made its debut in December 2018 with a grid of 12 drivers, split into a Pro and Pro-Am category.
TWR Techeetah was one of four teams forming the Pro category, with current Formula E Teams' Championship leaders Techeetah expanding its motorsport portfolio by joining the support series, pairing with Tom Walkinshaw Racing to bring the TWR brand back to international motorsport.
The team signed Canada's Stefan Rzadzinski for the series' inaugural season of competition, however, will miss the final two races of the 2018/19 campaign that will take place in New York City this weekend.
This absence from the New York rounds of the championship is a result of "administration issues" according to a spokesperson from the Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY although no formal announcement has been released.
In Berlin, the team changed its driver lineup for the first time this season, with former Jaguar Racing driver Adam Carroll replacing Rzadzinski for the eighth round of the season while the latter Canadian was on site at the Flughafen Tempelhof Circuit.
It is understood that Rzadzinski is currently in New York while TWR Techeetah remains absent from the entry list for the weekend, reducing the field of 12 cars to 11.
Rzadzinski currently occupies sixth in the Pro Drivers' Championship with 43 points and recorded a best finish of second place at the sixth round of the season in Paris.
