Job van Uitert will be joining Racing Team Nederland for two rounds of the upcoming 2019/20 FIA World Endurance Championship.
The young Dutchman, who made his Le Mans debut last month, will be replacing other drivers at two separate rounds of the championship. Van Uitert will be replace Nyck de Vries for the season-opening 4 Hours of Silverstone as it clashes with the Belgian Grand Prix where De Vries competes in the Formula 2 championship.
In Shanghai, Gentlemen driver and Jumbo owner Van Eerd is unable to race due to other commitments, so Van Uitert will be brought in to fill his usual seat.
The Dutch outfit will be competing in its second WEC season and recently announced a switch from Dallara to ORECA machinery.
“From my first year in motorsport, Frits has supported me and I am very happy and proud that I can now race for Racing Team Nederland," said van Uitert, whose main campaign this year is in the European Le Mans Series with G-Drive Racing.
"Hopefully my experience with Oreca and TDS will be useful for the team, looking for success at Silverstone and in China. We have a strong team and with the Oreca we have to be a podium candidate in both races."
Xavier Combet, TDS Racing team boss, added: "When we had Job testing our Oreca in 2018, we immediately saw his potential. He has not disappointed us since, because he is fast, works hard and makes no mistakes.
"We are therefore pleased that Job is now, together with Frits, Giedo and Nyck, also part of Racing Team Nederland. We are sure that we can participate at the front in this way."
