Andre Lotterer has been handed a post-race time penalty following the Bern E-Prix, with the driver finishing outside of the top 10 as a result.
At the Bern E-Prix, Lotterer took fourth place at the chequered flag to secure 12 points, with this moving the German racer into second in the Drivers' Championship, 32 points behind DS Techeetah team-mate Jean-Eric Vergne.
During the 45-minute + 1 lap race in the Swiss capital, Lotterer was under investigation for ignoring the pit exit lights and following a post-race investigation from the FIA, it has been found that the driver was in breach of Article 37.1 of the 2018/2019 FIA Formula E Sporting Regulations.
As a result, Lotterer was handed a drive-through penalty, converted into a post-race time penalty of 22 seconds with this demoting the driver to 15th in the final race classification.
This penalty promotes Envision Virgin Racing's Sam Bird to fourth place while Maximilian Gunther took fifth for GEOX Dragon with Daniel Abt taking sixth, Alex Lynn seventh, Felipe Massa eighth, Lucas di Grassi ninth and Stoffel Vandoorne 10th.
With Lotterer losing his points scored at the Bern E-Prix, it also means that the driver is now 44 points adrift of Jean-Eric Vergne in the Drivers' Championship with two races remaining, with Lucas di Grassi regaining second, 32 points adrift of the Frenchman.
Elsewhere, GEOX Dragon's Jose Maria Lopez was disqualified from the final result of the race after it was found that the Argentinian racer was in breach of Article 37.3, exceeding his maximum power usage of 200kW on lap 15.
BMW i Andretti Motorsport's Antonio Felix da Costa was also handed a five-second time penalty post-race after it was found that the Portuguese was speeding under Full Course Yellow conditions.
In a difficult day for Venturi Formula E after the team was fined €2,000 for a power overuse under regen for both Felipe Massa and Edoardo Mortara in FP1, Mortara has also been handed a five-place grid penalty for Formula E's New York finale after it was found that the driver was responsible for an incident with Alexander Sims at Turn 7 in the race.
