Two hours to go at Le Mans as lead battles stabilize

With two hours remaining in the 2019 24 Hours of Le Mans, it appears that the leaders are consolidating their lead headed into the final two hours of the race.

At the very front, the #7 Toyota TS050 Hybrid of Kamui Kobayashi continues to hold a sizeable lead over the #8 sister car of Fernando Alonso, with the #11 SMP Racing BR Engineering BR1-AER still in third position but six laps down. The fastest Rebellion, the #1 of Neel Jani, is another three laps further back.

In LMP2, Andre Negrao continues to lead in LMP2 for Signatech Alpine ahead of championship rival Gabriel Aubry in the #38 Jackie Chan DC Racing Oreca, with Mathieu Vaxiviere still third for TDS Racing. Negrao had a bit of a scare earlier, running wide in the Porsche Curves, but was able to continue without any consequences.

Remarkably, less than an hour after Nyck de Vries' hefty shunt at Indianapolis, Racing Team Nederland managed to get their #29 Dallara P217-Gibson back out on track, with Giedo van der Garde currently running in 15th place in class.

In GTE Pro, Ferrari seem to be headed for victory as Daniel Serra is well clear in the #51 AF Corse 488 GTE Evo, with two Porsches behind in podium position. Fred Makowiecki is in second position in the #91 WEC regular machine ahead of the #93 IMSA entry of Patrick Pilet.

Ben Keating continues to head towards a fairytale ending as he leads in his #85 Ford GT, with Team Project 1 Porsche remaining in second place but far behind. ELMS competitors JMW Motorsport are still in second place with Jeffrey Segal behind the wheel of the #84 Ferrari.
