The #7 Toyota of Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi and Jose-Maria Lopez has claimed pole position for the 2019 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The trio's fastest time of 03:15:497 was quicker than the 03:15:908 set by the #8 TS050 Hybrid of Sebastien Buemi, Kazuki Nakajima and Fernando Alonso for second.
The #17 SMP Racing BR Engineering BR1-AER of Stephane Sarrazin, Egor Orudzhev, Sergey Sirotkin was the fastest of the non-hybrid LMP1s with a time of 03:16:159.
The pair of SMP Racing machines were split by the #3 Rebellion R13-Gibson of Thomas Laurent, Nathanaël Berthon, Gustavo Menezes, who beat out the #11 SMP Racing car by just under three-tenths. The #1 Rebellion was sixth, with Dragonspeed seventh and ByKolles in eighth.
In LMP2, Graff surprised by taking pole position from the WEC favorites with a 03:25:073 set by Tristan Gommendy. TDS Racing came second, and Spa race winners Dragonspeed were third. WEC championship leaders Signatech Alpine took fourth, while the #48 IDEC Sport Oreca completed the top five.
In GTE Pro, Aston Martin Racing took top honours as a 03:48:000 from Marco Sorensen was enough to hold off the #67 Ford Team Chip Ganassi and the #63 Corvette of Jan Magnussen, Antonio Garcia and Mike Rockenfeller.
Porsche proved dominant in GTE Am, with the #88 Dempsey-Proton Porsche of Satori Hoshino, Giorgio Roda and Matteo Cairoli beating out the #77 sister car of Matt Campbell, Christian Ried and Julien Andlauer.
Third place went to the #86 Gulf Racing Porsche of Mike Wainright, Ben Barker and Thomas Preining.
The JMW Motorsport Ferrari of Jeff Segal, Rodrigo Baptista and Wei Lu took fourth. Porsche also rounded out the top five, with the #78 Proton Porsche of father and son Prette and Vincent Abril taking fifth.
