Luca Ghiotto and Mahaveer Raghunathan will serve respective three-place grid penalties at the next round in Formula 2 in Le Castellet, France.
Raghunathan was penalised for cutting the opening corner of the sprint race by going through the pit lane exit. The stewards deemed the MP Motorsport driver had gained an advantage and was in breach of Article 27.3, thereby earning a three-place grid penalty at the next race.
Championship challenger Luca Ghiotto was also handed a three-place grid penalty after colliding with Raghunathan on lap 6 of the Monaco sprint race. Ghiotto attempted to overtake the Indian at the Fairmont Hotel hairpin, but the pair collided into the outside which brought them both out of the race.
The stewards determined the UNI Virtuosi driver wholly at fault for the collision and will also serve a three-place grid penalty at the Paul Ricard Circuit.
