Mike Conway leads one-two Spa 6H qualifying for Toyota

The #7 Toyota of Mike Conway, Jose Maria Lopez and Kamui Kobayashi has taken pole position for the TOTAL 6 Hours of Spa Francorchamps.

Their combined average lap time of 01:53:747 was roughly half a second quicker than the #8 of Fernando Alonso, Sebastien Buemi and Kazuki Nakajima. 

SMP Racing came third, with the #17 of Egor Orudzhev, Sergey Sirotkin and Stephane Sarrazin almost a second quicker than the #3 Rebellion of Thomas Laurent, Gustavo Menezes and Nathanaël Berthon.

The #11 SMP Racing entry of Stoffel Vandoorne, Vitaly Petrov and Mikhail Aleshin was fifth, ahead of the #1 Rebellion of Andre Lotterer, Neel Jani and Bruno Senna.

ByKolles had an unfortunate first outing with their new Gibson engine, being far off the pace and bringing out a red flag when Tom Dillmann brought the #4 ENSO CLM P1/01 to a halt on the pit straight.

In LMP2, G-Drive took top honours, with the trio of Jean-Eric Vergne, Roman Rusinov and Job van Uitert setting an average time of 02:00:674 to take the top spot in the Aurus 01-Gibson. Stephane Richelmi, Gabriel Aubry and Ho Pin Tung were six-tenths back in the #38 Jackie Chan DC Racing ORECA.

The sister car in the hands of David Heinemeier Hansson, Will Stevens and Jordan King came third.

The top five was completed by the #31 Dragonspeed ORECA of Pastor Maldonado, Anthony Davidson and Roberto Gonzalez and the Signatech Alpine Matmut of Nicolas Lapierre, Pierre Thiriet and Andre Negrao.
