Pedro Piquet and Devlin DeFrancesco complete the line-up for Trident in Formula 3 for the 2019 season.
Piquet continues with the Italian outfit after a solid first season with the team in his maiden year in GP3 last season; the Brazilian picked up two victories with his most notable coming at the Monza sprint race after a thrilling battle with now F2 graduate Giuliano Alesi.
DeFrancesco joined the GP3 field in 2018 at the Austrian round of the championship, competing for the remainder of the season aside from the two races in Hungary. The Canadian scored a best race finish of 11th in the Spielberg and Abu Dhabi sprint races respectively.
"I am really motivated for the season ahead, which will see me race with Team Trident in the FIA Formula 3 Championship," said Piquet.
"I experienced a great 2018 season with them, scoring two wins and several podium finishes. For 2019 I am sure that we have everything we need to do even better and challenge for the title."
"I’m super looking forward to this year," added DeFrancesco.
"The new car feels quite a bit different from last year. We learned a fair few things at the shakedown and I look forward to making more progress at the official test at Paul Ricard.
"It’s going to be a hard year it’s such a competitive field but I’m ready to bounce back from a difficult 2018."
