The first pre-season Formula 1 test is done and dusted. Deciphering the pecking order from just four days of fairly secretive running is nigh on impossible, but to give a slightly clearer picture of what exactly happened over the 32 hours of action, we've compiled the quickest time by each driver, the day they posted it and on what tyre.
Going strictly by the data below it suggests Renault and Toro Rosso have the upper hand – but of course that's unlikely and the picture is skewed by undisclosed fuel levels, as well as strict testing programmes, therefore making an assumption based on times/tyres alone would be unwise.
Ferrari have been touted as favourites with Mercedes and Red Bull not far behind, though Charles Leclerc suggested Ferrari's rivals weren't showing their true hand just yet and that could well be the case. Renault look to have made a step forward, but the order does seem largely unchanged, with the biggest gain coming from Alfa Romeo which could well be a leading midfield runner.
The most notable thing from the times is that Hulkenberg's 1:17.393 is two seconds quicker than the best time achieved at the opening 2018 test (1:19.333 set by Lewis Hamilton). Although the weather was poor last year, it shows that the 2019 regulations, which many expected would slow the cars, most likely hasn't had that much of an impact.

We've also compiled total laps by driver, team and power unit to give an idea as to how reliable the four-day test was for each team/supplier.
Lewis Hamilton completed the most laps for Mercedes at 307 and was closely followed by his team-mate Valtteri Bottas and 2018 championship rival Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari), both of which tied on 303 laps.
Hamilton's tally of 307 laps is 78 more than Pierre Gasly achieved at the opening test in 2018 when he topped the lap count with 229 laps, although that test was hit by poor weather, with almost an entire day lost to snow conditions.
Unsurprisingly the Williams duo of Robert Kubica and George Russell sit at the bottom of the table with 48 and 40 laps respectively, given Williams missed the opening two days and half of the third day due to an unspecificed issue with their FW42.

Mercedes topped the lap count again with 610, just a handful more than Ferrari on 598. Williams, yet again, came at the bottom of the chart with a paltry 88, just 13 per cent of Mercedes' total tally.
As for power units, Ferrari were streaks ahead of its rivals thanks to solid reliability from each of its teams (Ferrari, Alfa Romeo and Haas). Honda, with just two teams (Red Bull and Toro Rosso), actually came second ahead of Mercedes, which like Ferrari powers three teams, albeit one of those is Williams (plus Racing Point).
Renault came bottom with just 855 laps between itself and McLaren, with both outfits running into issues during the test, which on certain days limited its running.
On an average basis (divided by number of teams), Ferrari completed 496 laps per team, Honda 478, Renault 427 and Mercedes 315.
