Britain's Katherine Legge soared to pole position for the second round of the Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY, fronting a 1-2 result for Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing in Mexico City.

Racing at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez circuit, Legge set best time of a 1m 14.210s to soar to the top spot, with team-mate Bryan Sellers being unable to mount a challenge for pole position, trailing Legge in second, 0.273s off the pace.

Simon Evans, who currently leads the Pro category of the Drivers' Championship after winning the series' inaugural race in Ad Diriyah, placed his Team Asia New Zealand car on the second row of the grid after struggling for pace earlier on, 0.316s off Legge's session-topping pace.

Taking over the reins from Alice Powell, Salvador Duran completed the second row of the grid in the Jaguar VIP car, 0.420s off the pace while Caca Bueno trailed the former Formula E star by only 0.003s to complete the top five.

Stefan Rzadzinski split the two Jaguar Brazil Racing cars by qualifying in sixth for TWR Techeetah, running a retro livery, inspired by Jaguar's 1988 Le Mans-winning XJR-9 while Sergio Jimenez was seventh as the slowest runner of the Pro category.

In eighth place, Bandar Alesayi fronted the Pro-Am category, 0.892s off the pace while he was followed by Yaqi Zhang who was ninth for Jaguar China Racing.

Ahmen Bin-Khanen completed the top 10 in the Saudi Racing entry, followed by Celia Martin and Qi Lin who completed the field of 12, standing in for the absent Wang Tau in the second Jaguar Team China car.
