Haas has become the latest team to put the first miles on its 2019 Formula 1 car after carrying out a shakedown at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Friday.
Haas was the first squad to formally unveil its 2019 car and livery during an event in London last Thursday, with a revised black-and-gold scheme reflecting its new title deal with Rich Energy.
Haas’ VF-19 ran for the first time on Friday at the Spanish Grand Prix venue, three days before the start of pre-season testing at the same circuit.
Each Formula 1 team is permitted two filming days per season, at which running is limited to 100km and use of Pirelli’s promotional tyres mandatory.
Haas joins Mercedes, Red Bull, Alfa Romeo and Toro Rosso in having already put the first miles on their respective 2019 challengers.
Mercedes and Red Bull both ran on various iterations of the Silverstone Circuit on Wednesday, with Toro Rosso in action at Misano on the same day.
Alfa Romeo, meanwhile, shook down its 2019 car at Fiorano on Thursday, with Kimi Raikkonen sporting a special ‘love’ livery to reflect Valentine’s Day.
Alfa Romeo’s 2019 car, and livery, will be officially unveiled on Monday morning at Barcelona.
Williams has already cancelled its planned shakedown due to time constraints while Renault confirmed earlier this week that its anticipated filming day was in doubt.
