Red Bull F1 driver Max Verstappen will complete part of his public service during this weekend's Formula E Marrakesh EPrix, it has been revealed.

The Dutch driver was given two days of public service duty after his alteraction with Force India's Esteban Ocon at the Brazilian Grand Prix.

Verstappen, who was leading the race, collided with Ocon as the Frenchman attempted to unlap himself. After the race, Verstappen was seen aggressively confronting Ocon over the clash before shoving him multiple times (pictured).

The FIA handed down two days of public service as punishment for the 21-year-old.

It's been confirmed by the FIA that Verstappen will be in Marrakesh on Saturday and will observe the stewards, including driver steward Vitantonio Liuzzi, a former Red Bull driver.

"Max Verstappen will attend the Marrakesh E-Prix as a result of the stewards’ decision at the 2018 Brazilian Formula One Grand Prix," an FIA statement confirmed.

"Verstappen will spend the day as an observer to the stewards, closely following their work at a top-level international motor sport event as part of the educational and informative approach taken by the FIA in this matter."

As Formula E events are run over a single day, Verstappen will still have one day of his public service to complete, though where and how hasn't been confirmed.

The only other driver in the modern era to have been handed public service duties is Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel for his intentional contact with Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton at the 2017 Azerbaijan GP.

Vettel appeared by video link to attend and speak at an FIA stewarding conference.
