As the Formula 1 teams take a breather before resuming their gladiatorial contest in Singapore next week, it was the turn of the sportscar boys and girls to show their mettle, both in Europe (Nürburgring) and in America (Laguna Seca)…

And what a shock as defending champion René Rast, whose title defence had stumbled, showed the way home to the field in both races after taking pole position for both races too. In doing so he created DTM history as no one had done this ever before…
