Charouz's Antonio Fuoco has been disqualified from the Italian feature race results after his F2/18 failed post-race scrutineering checks due to a technical infringement.
It was found his car was in breach of Technical Bulletin BT 18 008 and running a non-compliant throttle map on his Mechachrome 3.4 Turbo V6 engine.
The Italian driver began the race in ninth place and ran well during the feature race but like many of the other drivers who started on the Supersoft tyre, began to struggle as degradation soon set in very quickly.
Fuoco made it into eighth place after Ralph Boschung stopped late using the alternate strategy to get into second place for most of the race. As the Swiss driver tried to get up to speed on the cold Supersoft Pirelli tyres, Fuoco jumped him to snatch the position.
The Ferrari-backed driver had also been handed a five-second time penalty after the race due to exceeding the track limits on numerous occasions.
As a result of the disqualification, Boschung will start from pole position after being promoted to eighth place and Campos' Luca Ghiotto is promoted into the points in tenth.
Fuoco has been permitted to begin Sunday's sprint race from the back of the field.
