Formula 1 stalwart Eddie Jordan believes Lawrence Stroll and his consortium can have the "midas touch" on his former outfit that is now competing under the 'Racing Point Force India' banner.
Jordan sold up his team at the end of the 2004 season with their final year of competition coming in 2005, the outfit went on to become Midland F1, Spyker and then Force India in successive seasons from 2006-2008.
The Force India team impressed in their second season of competition after taking pole position and finishing second at the 2009 Belgian Grand Prix in the hands of Giancarlo Fisichella.
After Force India ran into financial trouble earlier this year and was forced to go into administration, businessman Lawrence Stroll, father of current Williams driver Lance, led a consortium to buy out the assets of the team and run it under a different entry.
The eccentric Irishman believes the Canadian's background in business and what he has achieved within in his business ventures in the fashion industry, are proof Stroll can really help his former outfit take the step forward.
Jordan told the F1 Podcast: "I still believe that's my team indirectly because 70 per cent of the staff are still the Jordan staff and they've had a tough time. With [Alex] Schneider, Midland and Vijay [Mallya], not knowing if there was always going to be enough money.
"The achievements of Force India when you think about how little they've had over the past 10 years is absolutely staggering.
"So, Let's hope under the new regime, and I can tell you, in terms of the man committed to success. Lawrence Stroll will make an amazing job here, look at what he did with Tommy Hilfiger.
"Look at what did with Michael Kors, look at all the other brands he has been involved with, the man has a 'Midas touch' and if he can put 10% of that touch into this team, it'll be absolutely great."
