Audi Sport Abt Schaeffler's Daniel Abt topped a rainy final practice ahead of the second part of the double-header New York City E-Prix in the Red Hook neighbourhood of Brooklyn.
Abt, who finished in second place in Race 1 on Saturday, set a best time of a 1m 18.699s to top the timesheets while he was closely followed by Mitch Evans who was only 0.097s adrift of the German driver for Panasonic Jaguar Racing.
Antonio Felix da Costa was third fastest for MS&AD Andretti, 0.271s adrift of Abt's pace while Season Two champion Sebastien Buemi was fourth fastest for Renault e.dams.
Lucas di Grassi completed the top five in the second Audi, 0.354s off his team-mate while Stephane Sarrazin was sixth fastest in the second Andretti entry.
Andre Lotterer and Jean-Eric Vergne completed a 7-8 for Techeetah as the team aims to hold off a late-season challenge from Audi in the Teams' Championship with the gap at the top standing at six points with one race remaining.
Felix Rosenqvist was ninth fastest for Mahindra Racing after crashing in the session, locking up and going straight on at Turn 11 to lose his front wing. Sam Bird completed the top 10 for DS Virgin Racing after also crashing early in the session.
Outside of the top 10, Maro Engel was 11th fastest for Venturi, 1.214s off the pace while Nico Prost was 12th fastest in the second Renault.
Race 1's fourth-place finisher Tom Dillmann was 13th fastest in the second Venturi, leading Nelson Piquet Jr, Alex Lynn, Jose Maria Lopez, Nick Heidfeld, Luca Filippi, Jerome d'Ambrosio and Ma Qing Hua who was slowest for NIO.​​
