Toro Rosso has confirmed that Brendon Hartley will not participate in qualifying for the British Grand Prix due to the damage his STR13 sustained in a practice crash.
Hartley's car suffered a left-front lower wishbone failure that shattered the suspension, pitching Hartley into and over the gravel, before he suffered a heavy impact with the wall.
Hartley's car will not be repaired in time for Saturday's qualifying session at Silverstone, meaning the New Zealander is set to start from the rear of the 20-car grid.
It marks the second event this season at which Hartley has missed qualifying due to a crash in practice, following his high-speed off in Spain.
Toro Rosso benched Pierre Gasly for the remainder of the third practice session but has confirmed that the 22-year-old will take to the circuit in Q1.
