A team statement released on Saturday night said checks at the hospital revealed Crutchlow had suffered no “major injuries” or fractures to his hip, but was kept in hospital overnight to undergo further tests.

Discharged from hospital this morning, Crutchlow went for a final check-up at the circuit's medical centre, where he was passed fit to take part in the fifth round of the 2018 season at Le Mans.

The British rider will start from 13th as he looks to end a barren run of back-to-back non-point scoring races, and ended morning warm-up at Le Mans 11th quickest.
