Rebellion Racing's lead #1 car has been stripped of its podium finish at the World Endurance Championship's season-opening 6 Hours of Spa.
The car, which was shared between Andre Lotterer, Neel Jani and Bruno Senna, finished in third place behind the #8 and #7 Toyota Gazoo Racing entries who stormed to a dominant 1-2 finish at the iconic Spa-Franchamps circuit.
After the race, however, celebrations were muted at the Swiss outfit after the #1 R-13 Gibson car was found to have a worn skid block, 1.2mm under the tolerance of measurement set by the FIA.
The exclusion of the #1 car promotes the #3 Rebellion onto the final step of the podium, with the car being driven by Gustavo Menezes, Thomas Laurent and Mathias Beche while ByKolles was promoted to fourth place and SMP Racing's #11 car finished in fifth.
