Force India reserve and test driver Nicholas Latifi will make his first appearance for the team at the Barcelona test session following the Spanish Grand Prix.
Latifi was originally set to drive the VJM11 in pre-season testing before being struck with an illness that left him in hospital and development driver Nikita Mazepin helped Force India cover those duties in his place.
The Canadian will get his first chance to sample the Force India ahead of his Friday free practice programme with the team which will begin at the Canadian Grand Prix in mid-June. Latifi will drive on the Tuesday after the race before Mazepin takes over the car on Wednesday.
Alongside the team’s normal testing duties with one car, a second VJM11 will be running on the track as Mercedes junior driver George Russell will jump into the Force India for the first time since his run with the team in FP1 in Abu Dhabi last season.
The Briton will work with Pirelli and their 2018 tyre testing programme after the original test was postponed from China. Latifi will take over the testing duties on Wednesday.
