Mahindra Racing's Felix Rosenqvist set the pace in final practice ahead of qualifying for the inaugural Rome ePrix.
Rosenqvist topped the shortened session with a best lap time of a 1:35.467, beating Nelson Piquet Jr's pace-setting time from FP1 by 0.667 seconds.
Sam Bird was Rosenqvist's nearest challenger, ending the session 0.344 seconds adrift of the Swede for DS Virgin Racing while Audi Sport Abt Schaeffler's Lucas di Grassi completed the top three, trailing Bird by a narrow margin of 0.028 seconds.
Jose Maria Lopez was fourth for Jay Penske's Dragon Racing squad and was followed by Nico Prost who was the fastest Renault e.dams driver of the session, leading a 5-6 for the French marque with Season Two champion Sebastien Buemi finishing 0.177 seconds down on his team-mate.
Jerome d'Ambrosio finished in seventh in the second Dragon followed by Piquet in eighth, Tom Blomqvist in ninth and Mitch Evans completing the top ten in the second Jaguar Racing car.
Home favourite Luca Filippi led a NIO 11-12, getting the advantage over Oliver Turvey in practice while Techeetah experienced a difficult session, with Jean-Eric Vergne and Andre Lotterer being unable to complete a 200kW lap courtesy of an accident for Alex Lynn which brought out the red flag in the closing stages of the session, meaning that the pair head into qualifying blind after finishing in 16th and 19th in FP2.
