Marc Marquez proved untouchable in the tricky conditions of MotoGP FP3, the Honda rider over six tenths clear of second-placed Johann Zarco.
Cooler temperatures and a sprinkling of rain during the previous Moto2 session meant the track remained damp for FP3, denying anyone the chance to improve on their Friday best and secure a place in the second part of qualifying.
Friday pacesetter Marquez comfortably made it into Q2, and set the initial benchmark at the start of third practice with a 1:51.794s.
Andrea Dovizioso, who will go through Q1 along with Ducati teammate Jorge Lorenzo after a tough Friday, took over from the Honda rider with a 1:51.598s 15 minutes into the session.
The Tech3 duo locked out the top two spots briefly in the final quarter of the session, wet weather specialist Hafizh Syahrin going fastest first with a 1:51.327s, before teammate Zarco – who will contest Q2 later – edged ahead with a 1:51.307s.
Marquez made sure Tech3's time at the top of the standings was short-lived, the Spaniard dipping into the 1:50s bracket with a 1:50.877s, while Nieto's Alvaro Bautista slotted into second.
Dovizioso returned to the top of the pile with a 1:50.396s with eight minutes to go, with Ducati stablemate Danilo Petrucci moving ahead of him with a 1:49.948s.
On his final effort, however, Marquez obliterated the field with a 1:48.896s to initially go eight tenths clear, though Zarco cut his advantage to 0.607 seconds at the chequered flag.
Bautista – who will join the factory Ducatis and Pramac's Petrucci in Q1 later today – ended the morning third from teammate and former Termas front row starter Karel Abraham, with Petrucci completing the top five.
Double Argentina podium finisher Cal Crutchlow was sixth fastest on his LCR Honda, and was the only other Q2 entrant alongside tenth-placed Dani Pedrosa inside the top 10 in FP3.
Between the Honda duo was KTM's Pol Espargaro, Syahrin and Dovizioso, with Yamaha duo Valentino Rossi and Maverick Vinales sandwiching Suzuki's Andrea Iannone – the latter three safely into Q2.
Tito Rabat [17th], Alex Rins [19th] and Jack Miller [24th] are the final three riders who have secured direct passage to Q2.
