Hyundai's Thierry Neuville and his co-driver Nicolas Gilsoul escaped injury following a scary crash during testing in Corsica on Wednesday.
The pair were preparing for next week's Tour de Corse when their Hyundai i20 plunged off the road at a bridge near Linguizzetta, about 50km south of the rally base of Bastia on the east coast of the island.
The car came to rest some five metres below the bridge in a shallow river, causing significant damage to the i20's front and rear-end.
Hyundai confirmed both Neuville and Gilsoul escaped unharmed.
"We can confirm that @thierryneuville and @nicolasgilsoul went off the road during the final afternoon of our three-day #TourdeCorse test today. The crew are OK," the team tweeted.
