Ex-Force India reserve driver Alfonso Celis Jr. will race in Indy Lights this season.
Celis Jr., 21, linked up with Force India at the end of 2015, and participated in nine practice sessions at Grands Prix, as well as several test days, across the past two years.
The Mexican dovetailed his reserve duties with a programme in Formula V8 3.5, placing third in the standings, and will now move across to IndyCar's feeder series, competing for Juncos.
“I’m very excited to be joining Juncos for the 2018 Indy Lights Championship,” he said.
“I have known the team for a long time and it was finally time to do something together.
“The Indy Lights championship has proven to be very competitive and I’m confident that with my experience and with the success that the Juncos team has had we should be able to be a contender for the championship right away.
“Being in IndyCar has always been something I’ve dreamed of. I grew up watching the series from Mexico and this will be a great step towards that goal.”
Force India has already appointed Nicholas Latifi as its reserve driver for 2018, with Mercedes-backed George Russell tipped for a role.
