Trident has confirmed that Alessio Lorandi will race for the team in GP3 this season.
Lorandi, 19, finished seventh in the series last year with Jenzer, having taken his maiden win at Jerez.
For 2018, Lorandi will remain in the tertiary category but will move across to Trident, joining Giuliano Alesi, Ryan Tveter and a yet-to-be-confirmed fourth driver.
“Being at my second GP3 Series season, there is only one possible goal, fighting for the title,” he said.
“I think that Trident has the staff and work ethics needed to accomplish the feature.
“In addition, my quick and experienced team-mates will motivate me to push even harder.
“Last but not least, for the first time in my career I will race with an Italian team and I'm determined to reward everybody at Trident for their trust and support with some outstanding results.”
