Emil Frey Racing will continue to enter a GT3-homologated Jaguar in selected rounds of the Blancpain GT Series, alongside its new full-season venture with the Lexus RCF.
The Swiss outfit will race its Jaguar in three rounds of the BGTS Endurance Cup at Monza, Silverstone and Paul Ricard, as well as the Sprint Cup weekend at Misano.
Alex Fontana has been retained from the 2017 driver lineup, while Canada's Mikael Grenier and South Africa's Adrian Zaugg are new additions to the 'Silver Cup' programme.
Additionally, Emil Frey Racing will campaign a pair of Lexus RCF GT3s in the full BGTS Endurance and Sprint series, as the Jaguar XKR project moves into its sixth year.
The Lexus made its European debut with Emil Frey in the 2017 International GT Open, where it finished third in the standings.
Former Red Bull Formula 1 driver Christian Klien will return to the roster, along with GT stars Marco Seefried, Markus Palttala, Norbert Siedler, Stephane Ortelli and Albert Costa
All six drivers have represented Emil Frey in various capacities before.
The announcement of the Lexus lineups – which will compete for overall honours against GT3 efforts from the likes of Audi, Mercedes, BMW, Ferrari, Lamborghini and Bentley – was made during the opening of Emil Frey's new workshop in Safenwil, Switzerland.
“Today was a special day as we had the great pleasure of presenting our new workshop to many invited guests and informed about the upcoming season”, said Lorenz Frey, team principal of Emil Frey Racing.
“It is always nice to see familiar faces ahead of the official start of the season. The Jaguar project is a matter truly dear to our hearts and we have put in a lot of work and pleasure over the last years."
"Therefore, we won´t miss out on the opportunity to compete in selected races this year. We are very excited ahead of the first race.”
On the Lexus programme, Frey added, "It is always nice to see familiar faces ahead of the official start of the season."
"Even though the Blancpain GT Series is not a new championship for us, it is still a new challenge to compete with two relatively new race cars."
"The team is highly motivated, we have strong drivers and can build upon the know-how from last year. We are very excited ahead of the first race."
Emil Frey Racing began racing its specially modified Jaguar XKR in 2012, but waited two years to make its full-season debut in the BGTS Endurance pro-am cup.
The car claimed its first class victory at the Nurburgring 500km in 2015, before committing to the all-professional category for the following season and beyond.
The first round of the Blancpain GT Series is the Sprint Cup opener at Zolder (Belgium) on April 7-8th.
