Leonardo Pulcini will switch to Campos Racing for his second season in the GP3 Series in 2018.

Pulcini, 19, claimed the 2016 Euroformula Open title with the Spanish squad, before moving across to Arden when he stepped up to GP3 in 2017.

The Italian placed 14th in the standings, having taken a podium on his debut in Barcelona, before failing to record another points-scoring result through the remainder of the season, though a puncture robbed him of a top-three finish in Abu Dhabi.

Pulcini sampled both Formula 2 and GP3 machinery with Campos during post-season testing in Abu Dhabi, and will remain in the tertiary division in 2018.

Pulcini joins Simo Laaksonen at the outfit, and is the ninth driver to be confirmed for this year’s championship.

"I’m extremely proud and happy to be back with Campos Racing," he said.

"They are a very important team for my career, because I learnt everything in racing with them. Besides, I alredy won with Campos. It’s my racing family for sure. I know they all are looking forward to helping me.

"We have put together everything and we approach a decisive season. I think we have a competitive package to be in win contention.

"We tested in Abu Dhabi and the car was rather competitive. His working method is great and I feel confident. I’m ready to start the season in style.”
