The newly rebranded Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team has confirmed its 2018 driver line-up will consist of Marcus Ericsson and Charles Leclerc.

Ferrari chairman and FIAT Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne made the announcement during an Alfa Romeo press conference on Saturday following the news of the Italian manufacturers title sponsorship of the Sauber team.

Ericsson, who has the backing of Sauber's Swedish owners, will continue with the team, partnering Formula 2 Champion Leclerc who is also part of Ferrari's Driver Academy.

Antonio Giovinazzi, who was in the running to replace Ericsson, will be the team's third driver.

The 2018 season marks one of change for Sauber which has struggled in recent years. New team boss Fred Vasseur was installed this year in place of Monisha Kaltenborn, whilst a Honda engine deal was struck, only to be dropped in favour of retaining Ferrari engines.
