Artem Markelov has been handed victory in Saturday's Formula 2 Feature Race at the Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi after Oliver Rowland was disqualified by the race stewards.
Rowland crossed the line first to claim his third win of the season, but was later excluded from the results following post-race scrutineering.
The stewards explained that the skidblock on Rowland's car was below the prescribed thickness, which equals an automatic disqualification.
Not only does the ruling change the race result, but also the standings with Markelov taking the runner-up spot behind champion Charles Leclerc, with Rowland slipping to third, 17 points adrift.
"So sad to be disqualified from the Feature Race," Rowland posted on Twitter. "But I'm very proud of the race today. I'm proud of my team and everyone that has helped me this far."
Third-placed Antonio Fuoco was also excluded for low tyre pressures, promoting Leclerc to second and Luca Ghiotto to third.
