Formula 1's new owners Liberty Media look set to replace the famous and well-known F1 logo which has been in use for 30 years.
Three new applications for logo trademarks have been made by the Formula 1 Group to the World Intellectual Property Office under the goods and services classification.
The current logo, which uses negative space to communicate the No. 1 and the red swoosh to communciate speed and passion, was designed by Carter Wong and adopted by the sport in 1987.
One of the three new logos, which can be seen below, is expected to be used from the 2018 season onwards.
