The Faraday Future Dragon Racing team has announced its drivers for the 2017/2018 Formula E season, with Neel Jani joining Jerome d’Ambrosio.
Porsche LMP1 racer Jani was part of the winning line-up at Le Mans this year and also clinched the FIA World Endurance Championship title alongside Romain Dumas and Marc Lieb.
He has driven for Porsche in LMP1 since the German manufacturer returned to the top sportscar class in 2014, and it will enter a works FE team in 2019/2020.
Jani will replace Audi DTM racer Loic Duval, with d’Ambrosio being retained – he has raced for the team since the very first FE race in 2014.
“I am thrilled to join the Faraday Future Dragon Racing team in the next season of the FIA Formula E Championship,” Jani said.
“I’ve recently tested the PENSKE EV-2 powered by Faraday Future and look forward to building my knowledge and experience with the team and competing in the acclaimed electric racing series.”
Faraday Future Dragon Racing finished eighth in the teams’ championship in FE’s third season, with six top 10 finishes.
