What a weekend of motorsport it was on both sides of the pond! Silverstone hosted a thrilling British Grand Prix, and although the victory was a dominant display by the local favourite, guessing the other two podium slots was an impossible as task as the result changed several times in the closing laps. Formula 1's support races, Formula 2 and GP3, were also in action.
Then it is over to the Nürburgring in Germany for round 4 of the World Endurance Championship where the action was all about Toyota and Porsche duelling it out for 6 Hours in the LMP1 class.
Meanwhile on the opposite side of the Atlantic it was New York City's first ever Formula E race – and a double header at that. With Sebastien Buemi on WEC duties in Germany, did title rival Lucas di Grassi make the most of the opportunity to close the gap? And how did the Frenchman's stand-in Pierre Gasly perform on his debut?
