Lewis Hamilton moved to the top of the timesheets as he edged title rival Sebastian Vettel during a drizzly final practice session for the British Grand Prix.
Light rain fell early on but the circuit remained sufficiently dry for the bulk of the field to complete runs on both the Soft and Supersoft tyre compounds, before conditions worsened during the final 15 minutes.
Hamilton ended the one-hour session with a 1:28.063 on the red-banded Supersoft rubber, just 0.032s clear of Ferrari's Vettel, with the Briton having also led the way during the early runs on Soft tyres.
Friday pacesetter Valtteri Bottas, who will drop five places from wherever he qualifies due to a gearbox change, logged the third best time, a mere 0.074s down on Mercedes team-mate Hamilton.
Kimi Räikkönen was a lonely fourth, six-tenths down on the lead trio, with a seven-tenths advantage over the midfield group, which was headed by Renault’s Nico Hülkenberg.
Daniel Ricciardo, another driver with a five-place drop due to a gearbox penalty, was sixth quickest, and survived a wayward moment when he half-spun exiting Club, and almost hit the pit wall, during the closing stages in wet weather.
Haas' Romain Grosjean claimed seventh, while Max Verstappen was eighth for Red Bull, his best time coming on the Soft tyres, as the worsening weather halted his Supersoft run.
Felipe Massa took ninth for Williams, while Stoffel Vandoorne edged McLaren team-mate Fernando Alonso for the final spot inside the top 10.
Force India finished a low-key 12th and 15th, Esteban Ocon ahead of Sergio Pérez, with the pair split by Haas’ Kevin Magnussen and Renault’s Jolyon Palmer, preparing to tackle his home Grand Prix for a second time.
Daniil Kvyat and Carlos Sainz Jr. were next up for Toro Rosso, their best times coming on Supersofts and Softs respectively.
Sauber took 18th and 19th, Pascal Wehrlein ahead of Marcus Ericsson, who spun under braking for Club in the final moments, while Lance Stroll finished at the foot of the times; as with Verstappen, his Supersoft run was aborted when the rain intensified.
