Prema driver Charles Leclerc stormed to his fourth win of the 2017 Formula 2 season with a dominant performance at the Red Bull Ring in Austria.
He lined up for the Feature Race on pole position, quickly opening up a small lead over his team-mate Antonio Fuoco, and gradually moved clear of the pack.
The Monegasque driver completed a long stint on Primes and pitted with just eight laps remaining to go onto the Option tyres.
By the time he exited the pits, he was six seconds clear of his nearest rival and cruised to victory to extend his lead in the drivers’ championship.
DAMS racer Nicholas Latifi finished runner-up, scoring his best result in F2 after an aggressive early pitstop to move onto soft tyres.
He put the fresh Pirelli rubber to good use and when those who stayed out longer decided to pit late in the race, Latifi found himself in contention for a podium.
The Canadian made a late pass to snatch second, with Fuoco falling to third but collecting his first F2 podium. Latifi’s DAMS team-mate Oliver Rowland was fourth, recovering from a poor start.
Alexander Albon finished fifth, ahead of the second ART car of Nobuharu Matsushita. Ralph Boschung and Artem Markelov were next up, with Jordan King and Sean Gelael completing the top 10.
