Motopark racer and BMW junior driver Joel Eriksson stormed to victory in the second European Formula 3 race of the weekend at Silverstone.
The Swedish driver moved into the lead on lap one after a strong start and feisty move around the outside of Callum Ilott at Brooklands.
From there, he opened up a three-second lead in the opening laps. Despite Ilott closing in on him around the halfway mark, he was able to move clear as the race finish edged closer.
Eriksson got his 2017 season off to an impressive start with his second European F3 win. Ilott crossed the line close behind in second place.
The duo were well clear of the rest of the field, with Jake Hughes a distant third. Maximilian Günther was fourth, just holding off Jake Dennis.
Mick Schumacher was the lead rookie in sixth place, with Guan Yu Zhou and Jehan Daruvala next up after picking up a place on the last lap.
Race one winner Lando Norris had a poor start and had recovered to seventh, but a move on Schumacher around the outside of Copse on the final lap failed to pay off and he dropped to ninth.
Harrison Newey completed the top 10 to score the final point.
