Jake Dennis will return to the European Formula 3 Championship grid at Silverstone for the 2017 season-opener.
The British racer will drive for Carlin, the team he raced for during his rookie season in the series in 2014, before he moved to Prema for the following year.
Dennis then switched to the GP3 series last year with Arden, finishing fourth overall after taking two race wins.
He also contested in several FIA World Endurance Championship rounds in LMP2 with G-Drive Racing.
This year he will race full time in the Blancpain GT Series with the WRT team, but he tested pre-season with Carlin.
Dennis joins the team’s regular drivers Lando Norris, Ferdinand Habsburg and Jehan Daruvala for Silverstone.
The official entry list features 19 drivers, with each team running four drivers apart from Motopark.
