Ralph Boschung has been confirmed as a Campos Racing driver for the 2017 Formula 2 season.
The newly-renamed F2 series will be in action at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Monday for the first three-day pre-season test of the year.
Boschung will make his F2 debut at the test, making the step up to the feeder series following a stint in GP3.
The Swiss racer completed a full GP3 campaign in 2015 with Jenzer and drove for Koiranen GP in six race weekends in 2016.
He scored one win in GP3 and one further podium finish, now making his move up to F2 with Campos.
Boschung is the first driver to be announced at Campos for the upcoming F2 campaign.
“It is amazing to step up to the FIA Formula 2 championship driving for Campos Racing, which has a huge experience in motorsport working with top drivers,” said the 19-year-old.
“I want to learn as much as possible. My goal is to achieve points finishes in the first half of the season and then, building off the positive momentum, capture my first podium with more experience in the car.”
